Project 365 New Things: Day 20

Today, in celebration of banned books week, I read the entire list of books that have been banned by various people and organizations, as listed by Wikipedia (so who knows if it's accurate or not, but I'm just gonna go with it). I have read 19 of these books. Also, if any of you can explain to me why Where's Waldo was ever banned, I would actually appreciate it, as I haven't the faintest idea why.

Onward and upwards!

  1. I've only read 12 of them, but there are others that I know are good classics(such as The Three Musketeers) and really shouldn't have been banned, no matter who it offended.
And did I really see Alice In Wonderland on that list? What about Black Beauty? A Wrinkle in Time?

Did you look at, on the same Wikipedia page, the list of the "Most Challenged" books? The one on the page was from 1990-2000, but still...
It's things like these that get me very annoyed with our country.

  2. Oh, and Emma said that Where's Waldo was banned because there was supposedly a drawing of a topless woman in a beach scene on one page...

Let me know what you think about whatever it is I've just posted. Be nice. This includes not using unwarranted, unnecessary, and unneeded apostrophes.
